Submission Preparation Checklist
Author guidelines in a journal provide detailed instructions for submitting manuscripts to ensure consistency and compliance with the journal’s standards. These guidelines typically outline the required manuscript structure, including sections such as the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and references. They also specify the format for figures, tables, and citations, ensuring the manuscript adheres to the journal's preferred style and formatting rules.
In addition to formatting requirements, the guidelines explain the submission process, which often involves submitting manuscripts through an online portal. Authors may be required to submit supplementary materials, such as ethical approval certificates, conflict-of-interest disclosures, or data availability statements, depending on the nature of the research.
The guidelines also cover ethical considerations, such as proper citation practices to avoid plagiarism, the need for authorship declarations, and any restrictions on the types of studies accepted. Journals may provide information on their peer-review process, copyright policies, and any publication fees that may apply, ensuring transparency for authors throughout the submission and publication process.
